Directorate of Students Affairs GCWUF has arranged a two days health camp for free testing of Hepatitis that is going to facilitate the campus community. In addition to this DSA has invited speakers to create awareness of Breast Cancer and Hepatitis among the faculty and students. Begum Perveen Sarwar , the vice chairperson of Sarwar Foundation was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Vice Chancellor GCWUF Dr. Rubina Farooq welcomed the guests and thanked them for their concern and active participation for the uplift of masses. Dr. Rafshan , a renowned specialist on breast cancer talked about the development in the field of treating the disease. Dr. Zaheer Ahmad,a Medical Specialist from Allied hospital Faisalabad, spoke about the conditions amounting to vast increase of the disease in Faisalabad and the services offered by the Government in this regard. President Sarwar Foundation Faisalabad Mirza Asghar sb. informed the audience about the contribution of Sarwar Foundation in organizing health camps in order to eliminate diseases from the society. Begum Perveen Sarwar in her speech elaborated the role of Sarwar Foundation in the development projects all over Pakistan. She informed that Sarwar Foundation has installed RO plants all over Pakistan and established centres by the name of Hunarmand for vocational training of girls and also facilitated women in different places by establishing beauty parlours from them . These are all means to empower the women of Pakistan by making them self employed and independent. She also emphasized charity work for social uplift of the poor and needy. MPA Mrs. Firdous Rai and Mrs. Ayesha Asghar also attended the event Souvenirs were presented at the end of the event. A special portrait of Begum Perveen Sarwar made by the student of Fine Arts was presented to the Chief Guest.
