Governor Punjab, His Excellency Mr. Muhammad Sarwar made a special visit to GCWUF to inaugurate RO plant constructed by Sarwar Foundation and Al Khair Foundation for the community of GCWUF . Mr. Muhammad Sarwar also planted Ficus Panda Bonsi in the campus. He talked to the media and addressed the faculty of the university in the Jinnah Auditorium. Vice Chancellor GCWUF Dr. Rubina Farooq welcomed the Chief Guest and the Honorable Guest for visiting the university and providing clean drinking water facility , which was the dire need of the campus. She also informed the Chancellor of GCWUF about the research and scholarship projects and programs completed within limited time span and the targets achieved in a year that helped the University to gain 1st. Position among all the Women Universities of Pakistan and appearing in Times Ranking. Governor Punjab Mr. Muhammad Sarwar in his speech attributed the achievements of the University to the Vice Chancellor and the team of faculty of GCWUF. He laid stress that clean filtered water should be provided for the masses and for the purpose Sarwar Foundation is always on the front. He informed that he extended his orders to all the universities of Punjab to make or update their statues and regularize all the adhoc appointments as early as possible. He highly appreciated the discipline of the university and the way the University staff and faculty followed the SOPs for the Corona pandemic. At the end of the event Shields and souvenirs were presented. Mr. Muhammad Asghar was given a shield on behalf of All Khair Foundation. The students of Fine Arts presented a portrait to the Governor of Punjab. MPA Mrs. Firdous Rai, MNA Mr. Faizullah Kamoka and Mr. Khayal Castro were also present on the occasion.
