In Connection with Independence Day of Pakistan a Flag Hoisting Ceremony

In connection with Independence Day of Pakistan a flag hoisting ceremony was held in GCWUF with full respect and reverence. Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq and other faculty members unfurled the flag. Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq and all the teaching and non-teaching staff attended the ceremony. On this occasion, prayers were also offered for the harmony, development, peace and prosperity of the country. Plants were also planted at various places of the university in connection with Independence Day of Pakistan. On this occasion Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq presided the event and shared her views narrating that brave and mature nations never forget their heroes. She paid tribute to the Ghazis and Shaheeds whose contributions and sacrifices led to the creation of Pakistan. She said that in this age wars cannot be won with weapons but with educated and healthy people and with scientific advancement. With less healthy and unskilled youth we can’t achieve our educational goals. She quoted Quaid- e-Azam that Education is a matter of life and death for Pakistan. She also highlighted the cause of freedom struggle of Kashmiris. She stressed that India should listen to the voice of Kashmir and Pakistan and resolve the differences and both countries can use resources to fight poverty instead of making weapons. Both countries need to spend a lot on education and healthcare. In the ongoing pandemic we have to show our responsibility and work for healthy Pakistan. Registrar GCWUF Ms. Rahat Afza, Dr. Zil-e-Huma Nazli, Prof. Rakhsanda Shahnaz, Director of Student Affairs Ms. Asma Aziz and faculty members were also present on this occasion.
