The Department of Information Technology, Government College Women University Faisalabad organized Online One Day International Webinar on “Demystifying Data Science” on Thursday, 14th January 2021. The Online session formally started with recitation of Holy Quran. The welcome address was delivered by Suneeza Hamid, Incharge, Department of Information Technology, who also gave an overview of the international webinar. She acknowledged the support of Worthy Vice Chancellor in organizing this event. She also told that their team is very much devoted to spreading awareness about Data Science. All faculty members, students of Information Technology Department and Computer Science Department participated in this online session. The technical session started with the lecture of guest speaker Dr. Muhammad Shahid, from Sweden. Dr. Muhammad Shahid delivered a detail thoughtful and knowledgeable lecture on fundamentals, Data Terms, Data Science Life Cycle and Pathway to Data Science of “Demystifying Data Science” In the end of the International Webinar, Dr. Muhammad Shahid gives some suggestion to faculy members and students regarding Data Science reference material. The One Day International Webinar on “Demystifying Data Science” concluded with the vote of thanks from Mrs. Ghazala Suhail, Coordinator, Science and Technology.
