To promote integrated planning and development activities at GCWUF

Directorate of Planning and Development has a vital role in Govt. College Women University Faisalabad to assess the current and future needs for physical and academic infrastructure planning and development accordingly. Directorate of Planning & Development main activities focuses on planning and preparation of development projects for submission to various funding organization/sources like HEC, PHEC, and other sources etc in streamlining targeted educational activities in the University. The Directorate works under the supervision, guidance and leadership of the Vice Chancellor and headed by a Director (P&D); who is supported by ministerial staff.

 Mission

To coordinate and facilitate implementation of integrated development planning in the University.

Functions of the Directorate of Planning & Development

The main functions of the Directorate are:

    • Identification, need assessment and survey/feasibility of the developmental projects of the University.
    • Preparation and formulation of the projects plans/proposals on PC-1 Performa.
    • Facilitation in smooth implementation and completion of the projects within approved cost and time.
    • Overall monitoring and evaluation of quality and quantity of the project implementation as and when task is assigned by the Vice Chancellor.
    • Maintaining liaison and coordination with the PHEC (Govt. of Punjab) and HEC, Islamabad etc. with a view to speed up execution of the approved projects.
    • Guidance and facilitation of the project staff in preparation of project Completion Reports.
