Introduction
Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), established as an intermediate college in 1934 and elevated to university status in 2013, stands as a leading institution for women's education in Pakistan. Located on Jaranwala Road, GCWUF serves over 12,000 students , extending its educational impact throughout Punjab.
Recognized in prestigious international rankings such as QS Asia, UI GreenMetrics, WURI, and Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, GCWUF is a hub of academic excellence and innovation. GCWUF offers a comprehensive range of academic programs including PhD (05 disciplines), MS (12), B.Ed. (02), ADP (08), and BS (43 disciplines). The University comprises five dynamic faculties: Arts & Humanities, Computing and Numerical Sciences, Management Sciences, Science and Technology, and Social Sciences.
GCWUF is a center of academic excellence and innovation, offering vibrant teaching and research across all faculties. The University is home to advanced research in fields such as nanotechnology, water treatment, biotechnology, data analytics, business innovation, educational reform, and socio-cultural studies. Equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, a modern Learning Management System, and a highly qualified faculty including PhDs and IPFP scholars, GCWUF continues to lead in shaping the future of higher education in Punjab.

Initiatives such as the Prime Minister’s Youth Development Centre, Skill Development Centre, Business Incubation Centre, and Women Development and Mentoring Centre foster leadership, entrepreneurship, and socio-economic empowerment among students.
