The 15th Syndicate meeting of Government College Women University Faisalabad was held on 15-12-2021 at the main Campus. Raja Yasir Hamayun Sarfraz, Hon’ble Minister of Higher Education/ Pro-Chancellor/ Chairman Syndicate, convened the meeting. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tufail, Vice Chancellor, Ghazi University, DG Khan, Prof. Dr. Tallat Naseer Pasha, Vice Chancellor, University of Education, Lahore, Prof. Dr. Tayyaba Shaheen, Chairperson, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Faisalabad, Ms. Firdous Rai MPA, Ms. Sajida Begum MPA, Ms. Sarah Hayat, Ms. Qurat ul Ain, and a representative of Departments Higher Education, Law and Finance Government of the Punjab attended the meeting. Mr. Asif A. Malik, Registrar/ Secretary Syndicate presented the agenda. Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq, the Vice Chancellor GCWUF, presented the University’s Annual Report 2020-21 and highlighted its phenomenal achievements in the broader areas of impactful research, quality education, international ranking, sustainability initiatives, community service, academic excellence, performance of E-Rozgar Center, international collaborations and encouraging financial strength. The Hon’ble Minister appreciated the achievements of GCWUF in academics, research, social outreach and international ranking. He further applauded the efforts made by the University leadership to develop the physical infrastructure and meritorious recruitment of efficient human resource in faculty as well as in administration for sustainable growth of GCWUF. He emphasized upon the launch of ICT (information and communication technology) and skill based education through state-of-the-art curriculum for the intellectual and personal growth of the students. The Syndicate while deliberating upon various agenda items accorded its approval and encouraged the University Administration to carry forward its efficient endeavors for creation of academic, social, commercial and economic value for Pakistan. The Syndicate also appreciated the University leadership for maintaining its financial strength despite the stringent economic challenges and expenditure on both developing works, expanding the facilities for the students.
