A walk on awareness about Violence against Women was organized by Department of Sociology on 7-12-2021. Violence against Women tends to have long-term multiple physical, sexual and mental consequences for women including death and it prevents women from fully participating in society. Different flexes and charts were made by students of Department of Sociology depicting Violence against Women as a grave violation of human rights and its occurrence in public and private places in many forms, ranging from domestic violence, sexual harassment, and physical assault to human trafficking. Different mechanisms to counter this issue were also shown through posters. Vice Chancellor GCWUF, Coordinator Arts and Social Sciences, HOD Department of Sociology, Faculty and Students joined the walk.
