It is a matter of immense pleasure that the State Bank of Pakistan has offered Raast Ambassador Certification for students of GCWUF. Raast is Pakistan’s first instant payment system that enables end-to-end digital payments among individuals, businesses and government entities instantaneously. It aims to address some key industry challenges within the payment ecosystem i.e limited interoperability, high cost of digital payments to the end user, poor user, poor user experience, and lack of security.To promote this system, State Bank of Pakistan has recently launched Raast Ambassador Certificate scheme. The Directorate of Student Affairs organized its first Ambessador Certificate Ceremony at GCWUF on 10th August 2022. Student ambassadors of GCWUF worked hard and prepared around 3014 Raast IDs. In this ceremony, students received their stipend and certificates. Vice Chancellor, GCWUF Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq was the Chief Guest of the event. Mr. Akbar, Deputy Chief Manager SBP attended the event on behalf of Chief Manager, Mr. Sarfraz Nadeem. Worthy Vice Chancellor appreciated the role of SBP especially of Mr. Akbar and Ms Asma Aziz, the Director of Student Affairs in engaging students of the university in skill development and entrepreneurial programmes. In the end certificates were distributed among the internees of the said program.
