Silence Observance in Connection with Youm-e-Istehsal at Govt College Women University Madina Town Faisalabad on 5th August 2021 Government College Women University Faisalabad, under the direction of the Government of Punjab, observed 5th August as Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people on completion of 3 years of military siege of Indian forces in occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ & K). All administrative and teaching staff observed one minute silence at 9 am today. The staff members gathered in front of admin block of the university holding Pakistani and Kashmiri flags and wearing black ribbons on their arms to protest Indian annexation of Kashmir. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli (Registrar), Mrs. Rizwana Tanveer Randhawa (Controller of Examination), Ms. Asma Aziz (Director Student Affairs), Muhammad Tariq Shahzad (IT Manager), Dr. Syeda Samina Tahira (Coordinator Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences), Dr Asma Khalid (Director QEC), Muhammad Arshad (Senior Security Officer), Dr. Nasir Chattha (Incharge Horticulture Society), and heads of all teaching departments were present in the gathering. After observance of silence, Pakistani national anthem and then Kashmiri anthem was played. All participants resolved to continue peaceful protest to condemn Indian atrocities inflicted upon innocent Kashmiris at all levels.
